    STORIA DELLA CANZONE:
    “Bitter they are, harder they fall” venne composta da Larry Gatlin nel 1974 col titolo di “The bitter they are, the harder they fall”.
    Il suo disco raggiunse il 45° posto nella classifica Country americana.

    ALCUNE NOTIZIE SUL 33 GIRI “FROM ELVIS PRESLEY BOULEVARD, MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE”:
    questo LP venne pubblicato nel maggio del 1976 (RCA APL1-1506) e fu certificato come disco d’oro dalla RIAA il 7 ottobre del 1977.
    L’album restò per 17 settimane nella classifica americana raggiungendo il 41° posto.
    Fece meglio nella graduatoria Country poichè raggiunse il vertice.
    Nel 1977 a questo album venne assegnato il numero RCA AFL1-1506 per la sua nuova emissione.
    Esiste anche una versione Quadridisc ed ha come numero RCA APD1-1506.
    Il CD venne pubblicato nell’aprile del 1988 (1506-2-R).
    Da segnalare che il CD “Moody blue” edito nel 2000 include anche tutte le canzoni presenti in “From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee”.
    Infine una curiosità: nelle stampe americane era presente in copertina la scritta “recorded live” ma ciò non significava che si trattava di un disco con incisioni dal vivo bensì che i brani erano stati registrati live in studio, in presa diretta con Elvis e la sua band.
